On July 23, 2023, at approximately 2:11 a.m., Edinburg police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3900 block of Garfield Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 32-year-old Eric Michael Garcia deceased inside a vehicle, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound.
