On August 26, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., a shooting occurred in the 600 block of Ruby Avenue in Waco, Texas, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Sondre Johnson. Johnson and another 19-year-old male were transported to a hospital by private vehicle; Johnson was in critical condition, while the other victim was stable.
