On November 23, 2023, Specialist (Spc.) Andrew Fredrick Blakely, a 24-year-old soldier from Ennis, Texas, was found deceased near Laredo, Texas. At the time of his passing, Blakely was serving with Company Bravo, 2nd Battalion, 142nd Infantry Regiment, in support of Operation Lone Star Task Force Center.
