Edgar Nepumuceano Jimenez, a 22-year-old male of Mexican ethnicity, tragically lost his life on July 8, 2022, in Laredo, Texas. He and his brother, Raymundo Nepumuceano Jimenez, 29, were both from the Mexican State of Oaxaca and were in the country illegally. Their bodies were discovered in an abandoned lot in the Mines Road area in northwest Laredo.
Investigators determined that both victims had been shot and transported from a different location to where they were found.
The investigation led to the identification of Jainer Andrade-Lara, 25, as a suspect in the case. Andrade-Lara was believed to be directly involved in the murder of the Jimenez brothers. Police secured two arrest warrants for Andrade-Lara for two counts of murder after consulting with the Webb County District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, Maria D. Guillen Rangel was identified as a suspect for hindering the apprehension of Andrade-Lara.
The case drew significant attention, and authorities urged anyone with information to come forward. The Laredo Police Department and Laredo Crime Stoppers offered a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
