On December 18, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 1800 block of Adelaide Drive, a residential area in southern Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 65-year-old Edgar Johnson Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
