On the night of Monday, December 15, 2025, violence disrupted the quiet of the Highland Hills neighborhood in southeast Dallas, Texas. At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers from the Dallas Police Department were dispatched to the 6000 block of Highland Hills Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered 29-year-old Charles Hibbler suffering from a gunshot wound.
First responders from Dallas Fire-Rescue acted quickly to transport the male victim to
a local hospital for urgent medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The fatal incident has been recorded as the tenth homicide in Dallas for the month of December and is documented under case number 179214-2025.
As the investigation continues, authorities have yet to make any arrests or identify a suspect in the case. Homicide detectives are actively working to determine a motive and establish the circumstances that led to the shooting.
