On October 22, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 9600 block of Skillman Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 25-year-old Jamarkus Holmes in the parking lot of a business in the 10000 block of Forest Lane. Holmes had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
