On December 19, 2023, 28-year-old Jorge Ordonez-Perez was fatally shot at the South Shore apartment complex located at 2005 Willow Creek Drive in Austin, Texas. The incident occurred in the early morning hours and was reportedly motivated by a suspected romantic relationship between Ordonez-Perez and the wife of the alleged shooter, 42-year-old David Urias Mejia-Villagran.
