On January 1, 2024, 25-year-old José Fernando Chacón-Navarrete was found with gunshot wounds near the 6900 block of Bexar Street in Dallas, Texas. Originally from Antiguo Cuscatlán, El Salvador, José had moved to Dallas seeking a safer life. Tragically, his life was cut short on New Year's Day.
Following the discovery of his body, Dallas police initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding José's death.
As of now, there have been no reports of arrests or identified suspects linked to the case. The investigation remains active, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in solving this tragic incident.
José is survived by his parents, José Samuel and Liliam Aracely, his sisters, Marcela and Zuleima, and his maternal grandfather, José Leonel. His family and friends continue to mourn his untimely passing, seeking justice and closure for the loss of their loved one.
