On January 14, 2024, 17-year-old Ruben Santibanez Arzola from Garland, Texas, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning near the intersection of Walnut Street and Plano Road. Garland Police responded to reports of gunfire and found Arzola with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
