In the early hours of January 27, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded on southbound Interstate 35E near the Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas, Texas. At approximately 2:30 a.m., a gray Nissan sedan, carrying 23-year-old passenger Elian Murrugarra, collided with another vehicle. As the driver of the Nissan attempted to pull over following the minor accident, an unidentified assailant fired into the vehicle, striking Murrugarra. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
