On February 3, 2024, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Amarillo police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence in the 4000 block of South Ong Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 27-year-old Cecilia Rodriguez deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The 911 call was made by 26-year-old Juan Antonio Salinas III, who was present at the scene.
