Chloe Bre'Ann Vivens, an 18-year-old female of African American ethnicity, tragically passed away on May 30, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas. She was fatally shot in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting near the 800 block of South Florida in Amarillo's San Jacinto neighborhood. Chloe was found wounded inside a parked car, and despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries the following day.
The investigation into Chloe's death led to multiple arrests.
On June 4, 2021, 17-year-old Arrington Grace Sleeper was arrested and accused of being involved in the shooting. Subsequently, four more suspects were arrested between June 21 and June 24, 2021. These suspects included 17-year-old Caden Shawn Walden, 21-year-old Ezikedis Davis, 18-year-old Antonio Lavante Sonia, and 18-year-old Christopher Green. All five individuals were booked into jail on suspicion of involvement in Chloe's murder.
The Amarillo Police Department continued to investigate the case, focusing on the circumstances surrounding the drive-by shooting and the involvement of the arrested suspects. The community mourned the loss of Chloe, who was remembered for her bright personality and her ability to support and help others. Her death was a tragic event that deeply affected her family, friends, and the entire community.
Chloe's legacy lives on through her organ donations, which saved the lives of five other individuals. Her family and friends continue to honor her memory and cherish the time they had with her.
