On February 25, 2024, 17-year-old Myesha McCants was fatally shot at a Motel 6 located in the 3900 block of South Jack Kultgen Expressway in Waco, Texas. Responding to a call at approximately 1:39 a.m., Waco Police officers found McCants suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
