Phoenix police are investigating the shooting death Sunday night of a 62-year-old south Phoenix man.

Aubrey Hazley, 62, was found wounded in the 1800 block of East Atlanta Avenue, near 16th Street and Roeser Road, at 9:46 p.m., according to Officer Jonathan Howard, Phoenix police spokesman.

Phoenix Fire Department paramedics tended to the victim, but he died at the scene, Howard said.
