On the evening of July 23, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona, a life was tragically cut short. Promise Jones, a 28-year-old Black / African American male, was shot and killed following a dispute. The fatal encounter unfolded at approximately 10:00 p.m. at an apartment complex situated near the intersection of 28th Street and Broadway Road in the southern part of the city.
