On July 23, 2021, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Phoenix Police Officers responded to a call of a shooting at an apartment complex located near 28th Street and Broadway Road in south Phoenix. Upon arrival, they found a 28-year-old male, identified as Promise Jones, who was pronounced deceased at the scene due to a gunshot wound.
