On March 23, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, 60-year-old Darryl Glynn Byrd was fatally shot during a confrontation at an apartment on East Southcross Boulevard. The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m., when Byrd was shot multiple times in the head and chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers.
