On March 31, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Lubbock, Texas, resulting in the deaths of 36-year-old Johnny Bermea and 33-year-old Jeremy Bermea. The event occurred during a family gathering on Easter Sunday in the 1900 block of 36th Street. According to police reports, the gathering was disrupted when three vehicles arrived, and at least three individuals armed with rifles began firing into the residence. The occupants of the home returned fire, leading to a brief but deadly exchange.
