Ahmadd Smith, a 17-year-old male, was fatally shot on June 15, 2017, in Chicago. The shooting occurred in the South Side of the city, a region frequently impacted by gun violence. Smith was shot in the buttocks, and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene late that night. His death was one of several incidents contributing to Chicago’s high rate of adolescent gun violence during 2017, a year marked by increased shootings across various neighborhoods in the city.
