On May 18, 2024, at approximately 3:47 p.m., the Odessa Police Department responded to a medical call in the 3100 block of North Dixie Boulevard in Odessa, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 42-year-old Adam Beltran deceased in the front passenger seat of a Volkswagen vehicle, having suffered a gunshot wound to the head. A firearm, identified as a Sig Sauer pistol, was found placed on the rear bumper of a nearby Ford F-150 truck.
