On June 3, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., 18-year-old Tonya Medina was dropped off at a Dallas hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigations revealed that she had been shot while in a vehicle in the 3000 block of S. Westmoreland Road in the Oak Cliff area. Despite medical efforts, Medina succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
