Michael Dewayne Tilley, a 35-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically died on March 15, 2020, in Dallas, TX. The cause of death was a fatal shooting. According to police records, the incident occurred around 1:45 p.m. on the 3700 block of Toronto Street in West Dallas.
The suspect, Keith Waters, a 58-year-old male, was arrested and charged with murder. Waters allegedly shot Tilley during an argument that took place inside a home.

Waters claimed he used a wooden table leg to hit Tilley twice before shooting him several times with a 9mm pistol, striking him in the neck and upper chest. Tilley then ran outside and collapsed on the sidewalk. Waters fled the scene on a bicycle but was later arrested several blocks away. A witness confirmed Waters as the shooter.
Waters is currently being held in the Dallas County jail in lieu of $500,000 bail. The investigation revealed that Waters tossed the pistol into a nearby alley before his arrest, and officers later recovered the gun.
