On June 7, 2024, at approximately 12:40 p.m., 41-year-old Fernando Villarreal was fatally shot outside a gas station located at 6420 Gulf Freeway in Houston, Texas. Surveillance footage revealed that Villarreal and the suspect, later identified as 20-year-old Carlos Ray Paez, had been together at the gas station for over three hours prior to the shooting.
