On the evening of June 9, 2024, at approximately 8:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 7400 block of Mohawk Drive, near Love Field airport. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Marlon Sanchez Flores suffering from gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following an initial investigation, authorities identified 19-year-old Jose Guadalupe Soto Barcenas as the primary suspect in the homicide.
