Public assistance was sought to identify and locate them. On August 16, 2024, authorities arrested 27-year-old Joshua Albert Joseph from New Orleans, charging him with murder. Roberson had been on the run since the incident and was listed on Texas' 10 Most Wanted Fugitives. She was charged with murder and forgery of a government document. Authorities believe Roberson fled from San Antonio to Austin and then to Dallas to evade capture.
