On July 12, 2024, 23-year-old tow truck driver Christian Alexander Segundo was fatally shot at a vehicle storage lot located at 5901 North Freeway in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. Witnesses reported that an argument over a vehicle escalated when multiple suspects brandished firearms and shot Segundo multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

Segundo, born on December 7, 2000, was a dedicated tow truck driver employed by A. Martinez Towing and also collaborated with his family's business, David & Son's Towing. He was known for his hardworking nature and love for outdoor activities, such as four-wheeling. He is survived by his wife, Erica Ortiz, his son, Christian Alexander Segundo Jr., and his daughter, Noemi B. Segundo. His family remembers him as a caring and loving individual who would do anything for the people he loved.

Following the shooting, the Houston Police Department identified two suspects: 24-year-old Troy Kyles and 22-year-old Jrdon Mykel Joe, both charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. Kyles was arrested on August 12, 2024, while Joe remains at large. Authorities have released surveillance photos of Joe and are actively seeking information regarding his whereabouts. The investigation revealed that the confrontation leading to Segundo's death stemmed from an argument over a vehicle, which escalated when the suspects drew firearms and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Segundo's family continues to seek justice for his untimely death. His mother, Marselina Ramirez, expressed her grief and called for the perpetrators to be held accountable. The Houston Police Department urges anyone with information about the case or the whereabouts of Jrdon Mykel Joe to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
