On the night of July 18, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 11300 block of Amanda Lane, located in the Lake Highlands area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Khamoni Tyreq Williams lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Khamoni was a recent graduate of Emmett J.
Conrad High School, where he was known for his involvement in the football program. His former coach, Josh Ragsdale, shared photographs of Khamoni on social media, reflecting the deep sense of loss felt within the school community. Rita Jones, a finance teacher at Conrad High, expressed profound sadness over his passing, noting that Khamoni had earned certifications in Intuit QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and was recognized for his enthusiasm and dedication.
As of now, the investigation into Khamoni's death remains active. No arrests have been made, and the Dallas Police Department continues to seek information from the public to identify any suspects involved in the shooting.
