On September 8, 2024, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 3600 block of Dixon Avenue in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered 50-year-old Danyeal Garrett, known by the nickname "Shody Nody," inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Garrett to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
