Michael Anthony Contreras-Kelly, an 18-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on June 28, 2021, in Dallas, Texas. He was fatally shot around 9 p.m. on the 500 block of Cold Town Lane. Contreras-Kelly was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into his death led to the arrest of two 21-year-old men, Nicholas Levels and Brenden Michael Etienne. Both were charged with capital murder.
According to police reports, Contreras-Kelly had gone to meet with at least two individuals for a gun transaction. During this encounter, Nicholas Levels allegedly took the firearm from Contreras-Kelly, and the other individual shot him multiple times. Both suspects fled the scene, but Levels later sought medical attention for a gunshot wound and was subsequently arrested.
The case remains under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Detective Christopher Anderson is leading the investigation, and Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
