On August 4, 2020, 25-year-old Derion Johnson, a male of African American ethnicity, was found dead inside an apartment at the 9800 block of Shadow Way in the North Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Officers responded to a shooting call around 5:50 a.m. and discovered Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation into his death was ongoing, and the police urged anyone with information to come forward.
