On September 14, 2024, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting incident in the 2800 block of Burger Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 17-year-old Demaryae Dequan Hill-Young, a student at Lincoln High School, with fatal gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by Dallas Fire-Rescue, Hill-Young was pronounced dead at the scene.
