On the morning of September 17, 2024, Garland police responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in the 700 block of Broadway Commons. Upon arrival, officers noticed that the front door had been forcibly opened and observed two small children inside the apartment. As they entered, they heard gunshots coming from a back bedroom.
