On October 20, 2017, 20-year-old Jocelyn Sarabia-Marlon, a young woman from Garland, Texas, was tragically shot and killed in the front yard of her home. She had just returned from work at a convenience store and was getting out of her car when she was attacked. Despite being on the phone with a friend at the time, she was unable to escape the assailants. The police believe the incident may have been an attempted robbery, although nothing was taken from her.
