On October 4, 2024, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Dallas Police Department officers responded to a shooting call in the 4600 block of Lake Avenue, near the Medical District in Dallas, Texas. Upon arrival, they discovered 41-year-old Michael Deandre Reed unresponsive inside an apartment, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire and Rescue personnel arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced Reed deceased at the scene.
