On October 5, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., San Antonio police responded to reports of gunshots near the 5400 block of Walzem Road on the city's Northeast Side. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 16-year-old Kamraan Tyree Adams behind a building. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that Adams had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was ruled a homicide.
