On October 8, 2024, 59-year-old Harry Boone was fatally shot in southeast Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 7:05 p.m. at an apartment complex located at 5910 Schroeder Road. Boone was engaged in a game of dominoes with friends when an assailant approached from behind and struck him on the head. Following a brief verbal exchange, the attacker drew a pistol and shot Boone before fleeing the scene.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) identified the suspect as 24-year-old Timothy Walker. He has been charged with murder in the 482nd State District Court. Walker remains at large and is believed to be driving a black 2019 Chevrolet Malibu with Texas license plates VCT1721. Authorities have released photographs of both Walker and the vehicle in an effort to enlist public assistance in locating him.
Family members of the victim, particularly his niece, Laquietta Boone, have expressed profound grief and confusion over the senseless act of violence. She described her uncle as a non-confrontational individual and suggested that the suspect may have previously harassed him. The family is urging Walker to surrender to authorities.
As of now, the search for Timothy Walker continues. HPD has appealed to the community for any information regarding his whereabouts.
