Summary based on 11 sources
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a tragic shooting occurred at the Tierra Del Sol Apartments, located at 8000 Cook Road in Houston, Texas. The incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals: Eddie Gomez, 17; Jonathan Hernandez, 17; and Juan Trejo Sandoval, 23. Houston Police Department (HPD) officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Gomez and Hernandez unresponsive in the complex's laundry room, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Sandoval was found just outside the laundry room with a gunshot wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigations by HPD's Homicide Division indicated that a disturbance had erupted between two groups within the laundry room. The altercation escalated into an exchange of gunfire, culminating in the fatalities of Gomez, Hernandez, and Sandoval. The surviving suspect fled the scene immediately following the shooting.

Further investigation led to the identification of 17-year-old Adiel Alexander Sandoval as the primary suspect in the shooting. On November 6, 2024, officers from HPD's Westside Patrol Division, with assistance from the Gang Unit and Crime Suppression Team, arrested Sandoval without incident. He was subsequently charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court and booked into the Harris County Jail.

During a court appearance on November 7, 2024, Sandoval was denied bond, reflecting the severity of the charges against him. His next court appearance was scheduled for November 11, 2024.

The tragic incident has deeply affected the local community, prompting calls for increased efforts to address gun violence and ensure the safety of residents in Houston. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and urge anyone with additional information to contact the HPD Homicide Division.
