On November 5, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., a tragic shooting occurred at the Tierra Del Sol apartment complex located at 8000 Cook Road in Houston, Texas. Seventeen-year-old Jonathan Hernandez was found unresponsive in the complex's laundry room, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Another 17-year-old, Eddie Gomez, was also discovered deceased at the scene, while 23-year-old Juan Trejo Sandoval was found just outside the laundry room and later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital
