On March 2, 2023, 32-year-old Freddy Orlando Herrera Jr. was fatally shot in Rosamond, California. The incident occurred on 28th Street West, where deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting around 7:56 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Herrera with gunshot wounds; he was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
