On March 3, 2023, 30-year-old Cynthia Frazier, a mother of four, was found unresponsive in her South Sacramento home located near Casa Grande Way and 53rd Avenue. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene. A subsequent examination by the coroner revealed a discreet gunshot wound to her torso, prompting authorities to classify the case as a homicide.
