On the afternoon of March 30, 2025, 16-year-old African American girl Ajanaye Antontte Wiltz was fatally shot at a residence on the 8000 block of Chriswoods Court in the Florin area of south Sacramento, California. Deputies responded to the scene around 3:15 p.m. and found Ajanaye with a single gunshot wound to the head; she was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office later ruled her death a homicide.
