On the morning of August 14, 2023, Sacramento police responded to reports of a shooting on 23rd Avenue in the south Sacramento area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 41-year-old Felicia Michele Wilcots suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel administered life-saving measures before transporting her to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
