In the early hours of March 18, 2023, 37-year-old Christopher Pudwill was fatally shot near the intersection of 34th and Q streets in Bakersfield, California. The incident occurred around 12:50 a.m., and Pudwill was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities swiftly arrested three individuals in connection with the homicide. Keith Hamilton, 34, was charged with murder and conspiracy; and 30-year-old Terrell Sheppherd faced firearms-related charges.
