On June 9, 2023, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Eddie James, a 43-year-old resident of Victorville, California, was fatally shot in the 14200 block of Valley Center Drive. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Following an investigation, authorities identified 41-year-old Victorville resident Ricky Prudholme Jr. as the suspect in the shooting. On July 10, 2023, Prudholme was arrested and charged with murder, being a felon in possession of ...
