Douglas Jones, a 67-year-old resident of Oro Grande, California, was found dead on July 2, 2022, in Victorville. His body was discovered lying in the dirt near Gas Line and Rancho roads. Initially, there were no evident signs of trauma on his body. However, an autopsy conducted by the San Bernardino County Coroner's Office revealed that Jones had died from a gunshot wound. This discovery prompted the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department to launch a homicide investigation.
