Carlos Meza, a 41-year-old man from Hesperia, was fatally shot on March 3, 2009, in Victorville, California. He was attacked while getting into his black 2003 Hummer H2 in the parking lot of a Rite Aid at the intersection of Amethyst Road and Bear Valley Road. The suspect approached Meza and shot him to death before fleeing the scene. The case remains unsolved, and authorities have made several appeals to the public for information, but no arrests have been made as of the last update.
