On October 30, 1999, Manuel Guardado, age 33, was shot and killed in Victorville, California. He and his friends were leaving the Lazer Daze entertainment center on Ramona Avenue when a group of Hispanic males in a brown 1990s Oldsmobile sedan approached them. The suspects opened fire, fatally wounding Guardado. The shooters fled the scene in the vehicle, and despite ongoing investigations, the case has remained unsolved for many years.
Authorities believe this could have been a targeted attack, but no specific motive or suspects have been identified. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department continues to seek information from the public to bring resolution to this cold case, urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
