On June 25, 2023, in Cabazon, California, 36-year-old Rose V. Fidler was found deceased from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle on the 1500 block of Elm Street. As deputies secured the scene, they were alerted to another incident on the 5200 block of Riza Avenue, where they discovered her brother, 40-year-old Leonard Gamez, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
