On July 2, 2023, at approximately 7:20 a.m., 36-year-old Joshua Paul Gephart was found deceased from a gunshot wound in the 5000 block of Boyd Road in Arcata, California. Gephart, originally from Fortuna, had recently been living transiently in the Valley West area of Arcata.
