Mathew Thomas Dix, a 27-year-old resident of Manila, California, was found dead on December 2, 2017. His body was discovered inside his vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of his residence on Victor Boulevard. The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office responded to a call for medical aid at approximately 3:16 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found Dix deceased from a gunshot wound.
